This summer is starting out to be a very active time in our community . We completed a very successful Prayer Gathering at the beginning of June . More will be discussed about this in following reports . One major item that I would like to emphasize is keeping our community in prayer . I know many of you are mighty prayer warriors and I ask you to please remember the community, those individuals that God is naming as Pilgrims and Caterpillars, and those that are to serve them . Also, please pray for the Community Board of Directors, that we are able to discern what God needs this community to be and not what we as individuals desire . In July, there is a Fiesta gathering planned, more information enclosed, and our youth are preparing for their flight at the end of August . Have you sent in your Caterpillar and Chrysalis Team Applications? Finally, we are preparing for the fall Walks, with the commissioning of Lay Directors and organization of teams. Again, please send your Pilgrim applications to Sharon Smith as soon as possible . Please, let's break the habit of waiting until the deadline. Would it not be a blessing to have Pilgrims and Caterpillars on a waiting list because all of our Walks and Flights are full? "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few . Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field" (Luke 10 :2 NIV). There are many out in San Diego that will be benefited by the Emmaus and Chrysalis experiences .
